The book that told a beautiful real-life story about animal conservation and thinking flexibly, was A Boy and a Jaguar by Alan Rabinowitz. Alan was an American Zoologist who used his “weakness” – stuttering – to follow his passion to protect and fight for the protection of Big Cats. He was the co-founder of the Panthera Corporation, a non-profit conservation organization devoted to protecting the world’s 40 wild cat species.
A Boy and a Jaguar is a book of hope, showing kids that a “weakness” doesn’t necessarily mean you are broken or useless, but can still achieve great things in life.
