This picture book is really about how to NOT behave when you’re in company, but it’s also about friendship.
Big Bear lives all by himself and decides that he can eat and behave any way he wants, whether its chomping or burping or crunching or slurping… or smelling – no one’s around anyway. But he doesn’t realize that his slurping and chomping sounds scare the smaller animals away. Big Bear is lonely and wishes for a friend, and in the end his newfound friendships teach him to behave properly.
