Top (5-star) rated books for 2018!

At our first Kids Book Club meeting in 2018, we asked the kids to participate in our Book Rating Project during the year, where they would add the books they read to a “Books I’ve Read” list, and give each book a rating out of 5 stars. The idea was to inspire the kids to read more, to get more acquainted with the writing style of the different authors of the books, and to give feedback about whether they liked a book and why or why not. Quite interesting conversations can follow this feedback from children, and getting to know the authors inspire them to read more books of the same author.

The kids were rewarded at our Year End Function for their participation. Maybe the project wasn’t marketed enough, because only 4 kids handed in their forms. Nevertheless, following are the books that received a 5-star rating (out of 5), in no particular order:
